The Basics

Trust

Never worry about the legitimacy of buyers or sellers – we’re the middlemen.

Buy/Sell Instantly

Mage is different. Buyers connect their payment method and authorize their bids and sellers can actively "Sell Now" at the highest bid. Unlike other marketplaces where listing cards can take weeks until someone buys your stuff, Mage transactions are instant.

Authenticity

Our experts authenticate every expensive card that goes to our warehouse and looks out for fakes, the right condition, set and language. You're welcome.

The safest way to buy magic cards.

Buying online is always risky. You don't know the seller or they could send you fake magic cards. Even worse: they could run away with your hard-earned money.

That's why we authenticate and escrow all orders. In the meantime, you can relax and watch the Mythic Championship on Twitch – knowing you'll never be screwed again. Well, maybe mana-screwed.

1. Bid (Buy)

Make an offer that any seller can accept; or purchase immediately at the lowest Ask.

2. Authenticate

The seller ships the card to our warehouse. Our experts authenticate it and then release the funds to the seller.

3. Store or Receive it

When ordering, you can choose to have the cards stored in our warehouse or have it shipped to your address at any given time.

Trade Magic Cards like
  • a Pro.
  • Stocks.
  • a Mage.
  • never before.

List a card for sale; or sell immediately at the highest Bid.

2. Ship

is both buying and selling

Great variety of cards and most times cheaper than eBay and/or Amazon. Easy to find what you need and even great suggestions on what to get next. Prompt and professional delivery. I was surprised how fast I got my cards.

FAQs

  • "How does buying work?"

Unlike all other marketplaces like TCGplayer, Cardmarket or eBay, Mage offers two ways to buy magic cards.

    • For those who can't wait to get their hands on the latest cardboard, simply click “Buy Now” on the product page to purchase the item immediately at the lowest Ask. We offer support for all major credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Payment Methods
    • If you have as much patience as the eternal Nicol Bolas, you can take the alternate route by clicking “Place a Bid”. This will send a signal to all Mage sellers with a price of your choice. When your bid matches an ask price, the transaction happens automagically. This could be a matter of seconds, minutes, or hours so sit back, relax and maybe update your price if no one is willing to take it.
TL;DR Mage works like a Stock Exchange

  • "What is a bid?"

A bid is your financial offer for cards on Mage. It works like an auction, but digital and convenient from your computer or phone. You're basically saying: “What's up, Planeswalker? I am desperate for this card and I’m willing to send you $$$ to own it”. Don't worry if someone outbids you. If an ask matches their (now highest) bid, they’ll get the item. But your bid is still active and could be accepted if it becomes the highest bid again.

  • "How does selling work?"

Unlike all other marketplaces like TCGplayer, Cardmarket or eBay, Mage offers two ways to sell magic cards ("help me I feel like I'm repeating myself" – Author) .

    • You can “Sell Now” by accepting the highest active bid, see "What is a bid?"
    • or “Place an Ask” to create a listing with your own price. Once your listed ask matches a buyer's bid, the transaction will happen automagically. (Yes, we need to use this pun over and over again. Marketing told us to.)
TLDR; Mage works like a Stock Exchange

  • "What is an ask?"

An ask is the classic way of listing items. A Mage seller includes the description of the item and a price they are willing to sell it for. Don't worry if someone puts out a lower ask than you. If an ask matches their (now lowest) ask, they’ll get the sale. But your ask is still active and could be accepted if it becomes the lowest ask again.

  • "How does Storage work?"

This is New: If you don't want your order to be shipped to your address just choose: "Send to Storage" when purchasing. Your order will then be send to our warehouse and stored in escrow.

    • This makes sense when you need more room for cards, when you are moving between places or you want to batch your orders to only receive the full 60 card deck in one package.
    • if you want to resell your stored item, just list it on the market. We take care of shipping.
    • if you want to receive your stored cards, click on "Withdraw Items". Your stored cards will be withdrawn from our warehouses and shipped within 14 days!
